Business Developer (State College)

Compensation: Competative Wages BOE
Office Location: State College, PA
Status: Part or Full Time
Hours: 7:30am — 4:30pm (evenings and/or weekends, depending on workload)

TruBuild is seeking experienced Business Developer to join our team. Successful candidates will have prior experience in the industry and be familiar with the duties involved in business development and sales. Candidates with existing certifications in the restoration industry will be given priority consideration, however training may be offered to the right candidate. Construction and repair process knowledge is a plus. This position is very demanding yet rewarding to be a positive solution to smoke, fire, water and mold devastated homes. This position is based in the State College region and travel throughout the area is required with occasional travel to counties within the broader region. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required. A pre-employment drug screening and criminal history check may be performed. Benefits include Some Paid Holidays. Commission based bonus structure may be offered for jobs linked directly to your sales.

What you will do:
•   Call and develop relationships with businesses, local residents, property management companies and insurance agents.
•   Chart and keep track of all communications with clients for reference and promotions.
•   Travel to business, local residents, current jobs, property management company and insurance agents. To develop new relationships and maintain current ones.
•   Weekly reports to management and ideas to continue the growth of the company in a positive direction.
•   Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
•   Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
•   Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•   Distribution of all marketing materials and items to businesses, local residents, property management companies and insurance agents.
•   Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Skilled Construction Tradesman (State College)

TruBuild is seeking experienced Tradesman to join our reconstruction team for both residential and commercial projects. Successful candidates will have prior experience in the industry and be familiar with the duties involved in all aspects of the building construction trades. Candidates with existing certifications will be given priority consideration, however training will be offered. This position is physically demanding yet rewarding work restoring fire and flood devastated homes. This position is based in the State College region and travel throughout the area is required with occasional travel to counties within the broader region. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required. A pre-employment drug screening and criminal history check may be performed. Benefits include Paid Holidays. Ample overtime opportunities exist. Must be available to participate in a rotating after hours on call program as an additional help to our emergency response teams.

What you will do:
•   Take and label photos throughout the jobs progress.
•   Drywall hanging, repairs & finishing
•   Electrical wiring to include, rough in, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, ETC.
•   Plumbing to include, rough in (PEX, Copper and PVC), repairs, faucets, toilets, ETC.
•   Carpentry both rough framing and finish work to include but not limited to, doors, trim, cabinets, ETC.
•   Painting & Staining and all required prep work.
•   Obtain a clean and orderly jobsite and comply with all safety and OSHA regulations.
•   Completes and submits in a timely manner all required paperwork pertaining to a job.
•   Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.

Restoration Technician (State College)

TruBuild is seeking experienced Restoration Technicians to join our disaster response team. Successful candidates will have prior experience in the industry and be familiar with the duties involved in fire/water emergency service response. Candidates with existing certifications in WRT and FSRT will be given priority consideration, however training will be offered. Building maintenance and repair knowledge is a plus. This position is physically demanding yet rewarding work responding to fires/floods. This position is based in the State College region and travel throughout the area is required with occasional travel to counties within the broader region. A valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle are required. A pre-employment drug screening and criminal history check may be performed. Benefits include Some Paid Holidays. Ample overtime opportunities exist. Must be available to participate in a rotating after hours on call program.

What you will do:
•   Take and label photos; measure and sketch affected rooms.
•   Remove excess water by mopping and/or extraction.
•   Set airmovers, dehumidifiers and/or specialty equipment.
•   As needed, pull baseboards, drywall, insulation, carpet/carpet pad, flooring, cabinetry, etc.
•   Monitor and document temperature and humidity readings.
•   Obtain Customer Service Report and Certificate of Satisfaction upon completion of job.
•   Completes and submits in a timely manner all required paperwork.
•   Communicates with co-workers, management, clients, vendors, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
